A 40sqm rear extension to house a large showpiece kitchen area and to
double the size of the family living room.

The steel framed structure featured grey aluminium frame bifold doors to open up the end of the kitchen and wrap around full height windows with matching frames in the living room .

Two large aluminium frame lanterns were fitted into the EPDM covered flat roof to bring even more light into this new space. One of these lanterns measured 3×3 metres.

A block and beam floor provided a solid raised floor level to meet the existing building and was later finished with oak floor planks in the kitchen and thick pile luxury carpet in the living room.

A painted timber kitchen was installed featuring a large island for food preparation and seating for 4-6 people. The fitted units were templated and bespoke 30mm quartz worktop was fabricated and installed to provide a real visual wow factor .

Spot lights were fitted throughout the kitchen giving careful consideration to the positioning of lighting to avoid shadowing and achieve an even light level around the room. Spot lights were also fitted just outside the building into an extended soffit we created over the full height glazing.

Oak internal doors were chosen to compliment the oak flooring and the whole area was professionally decorated in light airy colours to complete a very contemporary extension to a 1930s home that we are proud of be chosen to deliver.
